Dr. Elise Levens was born and raised in Mandeville, Louisiana. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. She then went on to receive her doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Upon graduation, Dr. Elise returned back to her hometown to start her career and share her passion for chiropractic with her community. Her goal is to provide her patients with a vitalistic approach to chiropractic care that ensures the main focus is the wellness of the patient as opposed to dis-ease. She also specializes in structural and postural correction through learned biomechanics techniques to further improve her patient’s health.
Dr. Elise is currently studying under the world-renowned doctor, Guy Voyer MD/DO, to complete the three-year SomaTherapy program that incorporates manual therapy and corrective exercise techniques. The Voyer paradigm includes Osteo-Articular Joint Pumping, Transverse Tendonious & Ligmentous Stretching (TTLS) and Fascial Normalization. She also has recently completed the intensive ELDOA I & II training.
